An ambitious San Francisco-based startup with offices worldwide is looking for talented QA Automation Engineers to scale the European team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring a high level of quality for clients, and aiding the software development team in identifying potential issues early in the development process
  • Define the test plans (such as smoke, regression, per sprint, per release, and load tests) and oversee their execution
  • Assist the Product Owner (PO) in refining the user stories and defining their acceptance criteria, effectively extracting both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Collaborate with developers in automating functional tests, assist in their implementation, and prepare test data

  • Create, review, and execute feature-specific test cases within the automation framework
  • Shape the QA process, conduct testing activities in accordance with best practices, and share knowledge with less experienced Quality Assurance Engineers on the team

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in defining and automating software tests
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or another modern programming language
  • Proficiency in testing - you should be familiar with multiple testing techniques and tools, and capable of interpreting results effectively
  • You can act as an architect for the testing tools (BDD, Karate, Cypress, Espresso, Barista, XCUITest, Cucumber, K6, ...) and guide the team in their use
  • Strong skills in requirements analysis - you should be able to collaborate with domain experts and developers to produce clear, efficient, and effective requirements
  • You are familiar with modern frameworks and practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Basic knowledge of Kafka (topics, brokers, and basic commands) is a plus
